The upcoming election:  Choosing a future, and why science matters in the policy issues facing our nation and the world.

Science and technology lie at the center of a very large number of the policy issues facing our nation and the world - issues that will profoundly affect our future.  No matter one's political stripe, these issues pose important pragmatic policy challenges.

  • Do you know where the two presidential candidates stand on key science-related questions, and what their highest priorities are in the science and technology arena?

  • What do you think are the most important policy issues facing us locally and nationally where science plays a critical role?

The Idea Club is an informal discussion group on science and sustainability issues that are relevant today and can potentially inform the future work of SBLF.

Mark your calendar: the Idea Club will meet regularly on the third Monday of the month from 5 to 7 PM at the SBLF office.

Each meeting will have a pre-scheduled topic for discussion.  We welcome participants to attend whether or not they have prepared by doing any prior research on the subject.

If you have future ideas that you would like to be the topic of discussion for an evening or if you have any questions about Idea Club, please send us an email at sblf@sblfoundation.org or call us at 206-443-8464.
