Projects

The grant program and the seminar series are two projects that SBLF has successfully developed into established programs since its inception in 2002.  In the Grant program, organizations are invited to apply for grants, each up to $35,000 per year, with an opportunity for a renewal in the following year. We fund locally based projects that are science-based and explore links between human health and the health of the planet and its environment.

Since 2004, we also have sponsored the annual seminar series called “Our Health, Our Environment: Making the Link”. In 2008 it is offered in collaboration with the Institute for Children’s Environmental Health (ICEH), The Russell Family Foundation, and Antioch University Seattle.
